The new Oak Ridges Library is a 19,000 sq. ft. stand-alone LEED silver certified facility located at the northwest corner of Yonge Street and Regatta Avenue in the Town of Richmond Hill and consist of two storeys, basement, and above grade parking on site.

It houses meeting rooms, computer rooms, maker space, library material stacks, work rooms, study rooms and learning/browsing areas for children, tweens, teens and adults.  A small basement accommodates mechanical and electrical services as wells as janitorial spaces.  The design integrates a laminated wood frame structure for the main hall with a concrete structure for the balance of the building.  Cladding includes a combination of glazing, stone veneer facing and metal panel.  A portion of the floor area includes a low profile access flooring.  Surrounding the building is a landscape boundary along Yonge St. and Regatta Avenue.
